Garages & Parking

Ocean has over 450 garages and more than 100 car parking spaces. The stock is spread widely across central Cornwall, in both the urban areas of Newquay and St. Austell as well as many rural areas.


Garages or spaces don’t often become available but when they do, they are allocated to the next applicant on the waiting list for that area, on a first come, first served basis.

Allocations are limited to one per household (except where there is no waiting list demand).

Eligible Applications

The stock is primarily for allocation to Ocean Tenants, Leaseholders and Shared Owners with Ocean HomeBuy.

Other private-sector tenants and owner-occupiers may be considered for a particular garage/car parking space if there is no demand for it from Tenant, Leaseholder or Shared Owner.

Ocean tenants must:

  • not be in arrears
  • not have a repossession order on their household tenancy
  • be conducting their household tenancy in a reasonable and acceptable manner.
