Have you ever wondered why the grass cuttings are not removed from communal areas once they have been maintained?
The simple answer is one of cost.
Depending on the weather, we cut the grass every two weeks to ensure the height is kept under control.
Removing the cuttings would mean:
• Additional equipment to collect the grass
• Bigger vehicles to transport the cuttings
• Longer and increased labour costs per site
• High costs to dispose of the cuttings at landfill sites.
It is estimated that the current costs would treble, and as our tenants pay for the cost of this work, your weekly service charge would also increase. We don’t want to charge you any unnecessary costs, and hope you agree that the present service is sufficient to help keep our estates looking tidy.
