DPP3 will be used to speed-up the development of housing sites on public sector land and for public bodies, such as local authorities and housing associations, to simplify and reduce costs associated with the procurement of housing construction. Nationally the Panel consists of 70 of the country’s leading developers and contractors of which the Ocean Housing Group is the only Cornish company to be appointed. Previous frameworks have delivered 43,500 homes nationally over a seven year period and the estimated value of work that will be carried out through the framework in the South West region over the next 4 years is £1.35bn.

“The framework provides a great opportunity for the Group to deliver more high quality homes for local people in Cornwall which supports the accelerated housing delivery necessary to achieve the Local Plan targets” said Simon Caklais Managing Director of Gilbert & Goode, who are the Ocean Housing Group’s in-house Developer and Contractor.

“Ocean Housing already has its own plans in place to build 800 homes for local people over the next 4 years and winning a place on the DDP3 framework will allow the Group to further increase its contribution to solving the housing crisis in Cornwall” said Mark Gardner, Ocean Group Chief Executive;.

“We are also very proud to be the only Cornish company on the national list of 70 leading developers and contractors, and we will continue to take a responsible and sustainable approach to building new homes in Cornwall and stay true to the social purpose and values that uniquely sets Ocean apart from many of the other housing developers who operate in the County”.
