They Ride Again!

After what seems like a long, cold and wet Winter our Grounds Maintenance crew are getting ready to fuel up their mowers in preparation for the warmer weather.

Our hardworking grounds staff are responsible for looking after areas which include grass cutting, hedge trimming and maintaining pathways on approximately 160 of our estates.

It’s definitely a challenge for the team battling the Cornish inclement weather but the team are extremely vigilant when it comes to maintaining the areas where our tenants live. The dedicated team have been praised for providing the best standard of service which offers great value for money for Ocean tenants.

“Please be patient with us when we begin cutting the grass this season as due to the amount of rainfall over the Winter the ground has been so wet that some areas are able to be tended to sooner than others”, says Arthur, Head of Grounds Maintenance.

Taking Pride in Your Area

Now that Spring is in the air and our Grounds Maintenance crew are getting back to business our Tenant Monitors will be busy keeping an eye on the appearance and condition of the areas where they live.

We asked our tenant monitors to tell us what inspired them to become involved and what their experience has been like.

Rosemary-Hall-headshot“I wanted to become more involved in the area which has been my home for over 20 years,” says Rosemary of Grenville Court. “I am able to relay the issues that tenants feel are important back to Ocean and we usually get positive feedback and a resolution,” continues Rosemary.

If you would like to make a positive impact and help Ocean maintain their standards by improving your area then contact the Tenant Involvement team to find out more about becoming a monitor,
