The Ocean Housing Virtual Internet Panel (VIP)

We have created a new online home to give residents the opportunity to have a greater say in what we do and how we do it.

The Virtual Internet Panel (VIP) has helped tenants, who could not take part in our usual tenant panel meetings at our office, provide feedback for years – by allowing them to communicate virtually.

In the past we’ve used a dedicated Facebook page. But we’re now delighted to reveal our new platform. Ocean Housing has teamed up with research agency FlexMR to launch a one stop shop for our tenants to be able to provide feedback, start conversations and help create a real online community.

After all, your experiences help us to shape and improve the services that we offer. They are critical to us understanding how we’re performing and how we can improve the management of your homes.

Tell me more about the Ocean Housing Virtual Internet Panel platform

This website allows Ocean tenants to complete surveys and polls, as well as contribute to blogs and forums. All of which will help you gain points, to be in with a chance of winning prizes.

Once you are registered and signed in, you will be able to set up your profile and enter a member’s area. Here you will be able to interact with other users, read news and take part in tasks.

What can you get out of taking part?

The more you get involved, the more points you can make. And in the words of Bruce Forsyth, what do points make? Yes, you guessed it, prizes!

The more points you get; the better chance you have in a quarterly draw to win a £50 Love to Shop voucher.

Also, as social distancing measures continue to be difficult for us all, we hope the platform launch will be timely. We would love it to bring benefits for our tenants who are feeling isolated, and are looking for new ways to communicate with their community.
