Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC)

We have today (7 September 2023) received a letter from the Regulator of Social Housing in relation to Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC). The letter explains that RAAC is not widespread in social housing, however all social housing landlords are being asked to check their housing stock.

Ocean Housing takes the safety of our tenants extremely seriously and have started to review the information we hold about the construction of our properties. We can assure our tenants that we are doing this work as quickly as possible. There is no immediate concern given the make up and construction of our housing stock. We will communicate further with tenants once we have completed our investigation
